This is a great local restaurant in Santa Clara for the many that know of it. It has an excellent menu, reasonable prices and great service.

We arrived early (5:00) and the dining room was almost completely filled. We were so happy to see so many families and seemingly neighborhood people there. A good sign.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door on a Friday evening and seated quickly. Our meals arrived quickly and were delicious! The staff is always very friendly, especially on this very busy Friday evening.

i go just about every month for the same meal! i love it and no one else makes it. i love the staff, we always tease and laugh. it's a real little neighborhood place!

server should make an effort to inform customer if certain item ordered is not available ... preferrably at time of order or even when food is served. server should also check to see how customer is enjoying their food before delivering the bill. afterall, this is part of your job and you are getting 18% tips, right?

The year was 1992 when a talented Italian chef and his business partner opened the first Mio Vicino in it's current location on the corner of Benton and Monroe streets in old town Santa Clara. Their approach was simple: Create a place where anyone can stop in, enjoy the finest Italian food, a premium wine list, relax amid the buzzing atmosphere, and come away feeling like they've just visited an old friend for dinner.
Today, Mio Vicino Santa Clara still carries on the neighborhood tradition. In fact, you'll still see many familiar faces in the kitchen and serving the food. The restaurant even remains privately owned and operated by one of the store's original employees! For that reason, you can count on only the highest quality ingredients in our original traditional and California-inspired Italian recipes and of course our quick, friendly service.
In addition to the main restaurant seating, guests have the opportunity to reserve Mio Vicino's private dining room, which seats up to 35, for any event from birthday parties to corporate lunches.
