salad and main course were very good. We were a bit disappointed with the rolls, however; they didn't seem too fresh and weren't that tasty. 4/12/2013 4:16:22 PM

Love the food, servers, owners 4/5/2013 10:14:34 PM
The waiter was wonderful - even brought us fresh onion knots direct from the oven although the basket in front of us was not empty. Just thought we would prefer the fresh ones! Both baskets were great - we over-ate like crazy! However, the prices were a bit steep for a casual night out (for us) and with a paper table cloth, not sure if this is really a "date" place. I always thought of this place as a pizza joint. I did not realize there is a whole area devoted to fine dining. Definitely a "go-to" place for good food, good service and nice environment, but not too fancy. 1/24/2013 1:38:40 PM

This is a restaurant we have been dining at for about 30 years. Not only is the food so good, and the service also, but they make you feel like family when you are there. We absolutely love it. 11/10/2012 4:11:58 AM

Very nice Italian restaurant, but the food is way too salty for me. 6/16/2012 11:29:43 PM

Highlights

In 1969 an employee of two business men in Cedarhurst opened a pizzeria on Columbia Ave. After a year of slow business the employee convinced his Employers to sell him the business. The employee Marvin Gobetz, along with his wife Dorothy (AKA Momma Kelly), started a new adventure in life. Wife blood sweat and determination they managed to turn the business around. With business getting better everyday, and Dorothy striving to keep her family fully involved she introduced her children to the business; Mark, Glenn and Lisa. With Marvins three rules of business: 1)always make the customer feel welcomed 2)Serve quality food 3)give the customer what they ask for. Marvin always made it a point to teach these three rules to his kids day in and day out so that they would make or better people to work with and be friends with. After years of success they decided to open a make your own ice-cream shop. With Dorothys desire to expand the menu to include home style cooking they realized that they needed to move across the street to expand on the space they originally had began with. This was a desire that wasnt only something on Dorothys mind, but also on the minds of all the loyal five town customers. After thirty years of business, and the passing away of Marvin in the 1980s, Dorothy and her Adult children decided to move again to a bigger and better a location, which is now their current location on 490 Chestnut St. Even today Marvins rules of business still remain as the number one ingredient. This is the brief but ever growing by the day history of Mother Kellys.
