View was fantastic - we had a window table. Service was good, but food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Great place for a cup of coffee and maybe dessert.

Felt like we were steered toward expensive dishes in hopes of a good tip. Asked specifically if a salad contained cilantro and was told it didn't only to find it did. Nothing was done when this was brought to waiter's attention. No water was served until the end when we asked for it. Best Clam chowder we've ever had, but everything else was fairly tasteless (unseasoned) except for the crab which was fishy.

White fish was awesome. The salad with salmon was a little too blend otherwise good!

The only thing that was lacking is the beverage service. The refills were slow and far between. We had to ask to get refills of water from someone walking by. Even though my husband told them ahead of time it was our anniversary, there was nothing done by them that was special.

A littlt too pricey for the selection and preparation. Nothing special enough about the preparation to warrant the price, e.g., $26 for baked salmon with no trimmings or even capers.

Our server Mia ed awesome. We had a great view of the bay. O left my credit card and Mia tracked me down outside the restaurant! We had a wonderful time.

The seafood was good, my mother especially enjoyed the oysters bingo! I had the Cesaer salad with grilled chicken;the chicken was was dry and did not have much flavor. Service was mediocre.

Neptune’s had the advantage of having prime real-estate being located at the end of Pier 39. This presented exceptional views of the bay and Alcatraz Island. The restaurant was very clean and opened which provided a warm feel to the location. The manager was helpful and responsive to my concerns unfortunately he appeared limited in his ability to solve my expectations for a higher end restaurant. Our sever may have wrongly assumed, by judging our casual dress and travel attire that we were not fit for his full attention and time. Throughout the meal we received exceptional service from the bus boy; he was quite helpful in delivering our requests to the server and was faster than a carrier pigeon. The restaurant was not busy during our visit. The water pitchers were filled with fresh fruit and the sourdough bread was quite pleasing to the palate. As for our main course it failed to meet our expectations for a higher-end establishment. The lobster was over cooked, the steak subpar, my wife’s fish was improperly cooked, and my pasta dish suffered from overexposure to a heat lamp. The chief mistimed the entrees and the accompanying side dishes were either cold or undercooked. Everyone has experienced a poor meal, and perhaps this establishment would have been better suited for appetizers, salads, and wine while absorbing the pristine view. In summation overpriced and under delivered.

My friend and I enjoyed the food and the beautiful SF bay. The service is excellent. The waiter, Ron is really, really great. He gave all the attention we need. We'd love to go back again very soon!

A large party entered ahead of us (a bus tour I think) so we asked if we could get food service at the bar. We were told yes, seated right away, our drink order was taken right away & food order taken when drinks arrived. My only disappointment was that I ordered fish & chips and it came with actual potato chips instead of fries but I got over it because the chips were crisp and yummy!

had a bay view and could see the sea lions. The dungeness crab pasta with lobster sauce was excellent. Portion size plenty. Plus after walking all day just had water but they left the water pitcher on our table with lemon and strawberries in it.

Since this is a major tourist area, we were quite surprised that the food was really as good as it was. We've been there before and the food was OK but nothing to get excited about. We would go for the location, right on the water.
We're guessing that Neptune's has new chefs, etc.
Our waiter (Keith, I think) did a great job.

I made a reservation and was guaranteed of a table by the window for an ocean-view experience dining, I just wanted a table so I thought that was awesome! We were offered and served either coffee (latte,etc.) or dessert---on the house!

Great view of SF Bay, food was good, service was good. Only negative from my perspective was that the salt and pepper shakers were plugged and over filled.
