Highlights
From the street, the whitewashed storefront of Pasta Primavera Cafe and Bakery is reminiscent of a small Italian Trattoria. The impression is reinforced by the wonderful aroma of garlic, a smell that gently pries you loose from your everyday cares and prepares you to relax and enjoy yourself. The restaurants interior features a deli case filled with lovely cakes and pastries, as well as pastel Italian gelatos. Why not start with dessert? Other superb selections include rich Tiramisu, fresh fruit-topped custard cream tarts, and dark chocolate walnut brownies that are the perfect size and shape for a scoop of creamy gelato. The dining room features diamond-lined granite topped set tables, which are reflected in a mirror-lined wall flanked by Corinthian columns. The atmosphere is quaint, airy, and welcoming, just like a true Trattoria. The white walls are hung with original oil paintings of Italian street scenes. Baskets filled with loaves of bread, olive oil, and vegetables, along with shelves lined with ingredients for the restaurants saucesAlfredo, Marinara, Puttanesca and White Clamhold a promise of whats to come. Pasta Primavera Café and Bakery is owned by Amir Tehrani, who has never wavered from his mission to make sure every one of his customers leave happy and more than satisfied. And with over 65 items on the menu, theres something for every appetite. Every meal at Pasta Primavera begins with complimentary warm French bread and a dish of caponata (a fabulous sun dried tomato, garlic, olive oil, roasted eggplant and fresh basil puree). Amirs offering may seem complicated but his philosophy is not. All of his dishes start with either a basic Marinara redolent of garlic and olive oil, a cream sauce, or a garlic olive oil sauce, and go from there to create an imaginative and distinctive array of vegetarian, chicken, seafood, veal and combination pasta dishes. A list of the Chefs special creations is included, which always offers a grilled fresh fish.
