VERY friendly staff, and delicious food

They were out od alot of beverage and food options. The food was gross. Had to wait for Au Jus that was supposed to come with the french dip. Had to ask twice for ketchup. Had to get extra fettucine sauce to make the pasta bearable. Well at least the parts that were cooked all the way. If the pasta is still hard and straight it's probably not cooked enough. Just a thought.

The food was mediocre, the server forgot things we ordered, and he hovered over us- possibly a result of us being the only people in the restaurant.

I wrote a note directly to The Boxcar Grill telling them the cook has to go. We were in the restaurant for over 1 1/2 hours before our food arrived: burnt breaded chicken, tough chewy prime rib and wings that also were burnt. Because we were expecting guests at our home at 8:00, we loaded our food into boxes and left. The eatery was out of wine, out of blue cheese dressing, and had only one cut of prime rib which my companion received. Terrible experience.
