Succumb to the exotic charm of Daruma. Daruma offers a warm, airy, mellow ambiance and fine cuisine. Sunlight filtered through the skylights in the vaulted ceiling, traditional Japanese style rooms, low tables, woven rice stalk floors, Japanese dolls and artwork, and tables set apart create an environment like that of being in Japan. Four tearooms are provided for dining privacy.(minimum # of people is 4 adults) These four rooms can be opened into one large room to accommodate up to 35 people. There is also a 12-seat sushi bar, as well as a 7-seat full service drinking bar. Table dining throughout the restaurant seats 60 people. The fine cuisine will surely please the most discriminating palate. Over a dozen appetizers are available as well as two-dozen varieties of Nigri Sushi (fish placed atop vinegared rice) and about two-dozen different types of Maki (fish, vegetables and rice rolled in seaweed). Combination plates and desserts are also available. The sushi is shipped in daily from all over America or Japan, so fresh quality food is always available. Daruma is located just past the heart of Schaumburg, going west on Golf Road. The restaurant's goal is to ensure the most excellent service combined with superb food.
