service wonderful,friendly efficient waiter,received free sambuco at end of meal.
Only complaint, so called risotto tasted like cornmeal mush, not good. Rest of meals

MY husband's dinner was fine, but my veal was tough. I have had veal there probably 40 times over the years and never had a bad experience with veal. Sergio ordered me another one and it was just as tough. I felt he really didn't believe me, and I won't be very anxious to go back.

Go to Bonaroti just about every other month. Love their food and especially their homemade bread and biscotti. My 15 month old grandson loooooves their lasagna, which I think is very good.
Have taken other friends as well and they all agree it's a good restaurant.

Sergio accommodates us at a very busy night without reservation. He is really a warm and great host.

The Food is fantastic and delicious. We order Veal chop yummy and tender. Seafood pasta, pasta so fresh and delicious and desert Taurimsi cake was so home made yummy.

The atmosphere is a little dark (seems they attract an older crowd). The food we tasted ranged from just ok to pretty good (nothing earth shattering) but the prices were disproportionally high. Even with the $25 off, we paid almost $36 (i.e. $61 total) for one salad, one soup, one appetizer and two desserts. No wine... just water (that is all we wanted). On a good note, the bread and all the fun stuff with it in the beginning of the meal was nice.

Everything was elegant and quiet yet friendly. It is expensive and they add the tip to the bill at 18%, so save this one for a splurge.

Veal Marsala and veal saltimbaca were excellent.
Fried calamari appetizer was over - fried , but waiter made up by providing additional serving prepared correctly. Also thought the original portion was quite small considering the cost.

Tables are close to each other in some areas, so your best bet might be along a wall. One other thing that was annoying was that the hostess took my check and brought it back with the tip already filled in; and with a lower tip amount than I was going to leave...as if she thought I wouldn't tip appropriately. Luckily I had some cash because our server was excellent, and the food was very good.

Food tasted like it was microwaved. Bill was expensive for two entres and a glass of wine. Even having a coupon did not help. What was taken off from the coupon, was added on tip

I brought a friend for his birthday lunch and the food and service were outstanding.We both had the veal marsala and it was great.We've never had a bad experience at Bonaroti's.

Welcome to Ristorante Bonaroti! Bonaroti serves classic Italian cuisine in the style of its owner's proud heritage. Host and Owner, Sergio Domestici, attended the Santa Margherita culinary school in Ligure, Italy. After finishing his culinary education, Sergio traveled to the United States, and began his career at Cantina DItalia in Washington, D.C.
Sergios headline debut amidst Washington's discerning culinary community occurred in 1979 with the opening of Sergio's first restaurant, Michelangelo, located in Arlington, Virginia.
Several years later, Sergio relocated to Vienna, where he immediately opened Ristorante Bonaroti. Affectionately nicknamed, "Bonaroti's," the restaurant has received recognition and acclaim from both Northern Virginia Magazine and the Washingtonian.
