Highlights

If you live and breath the game of golf, you're bound to hunger for more than a few birdies. At Sam Snead's Tavern, you can feast on your passion for the game, as well as great food. Come in and roam from room to room, savoring the rich wood decor and all the memorabilia collected by Sam himself as he made his way into golf history. Then choose from a wide selection of foods grilled only with locally-cured oak, that creates the most unique flavor around. Start with Sam's appetizers, then make your selection from the certified Angus aged beef, the freshest seafood, chops, ribs or chicken. Complement all this with a fine wine or your favorite liqueur cocktail. And for the lighter appetite there's a wide salad and sandwich selection to be enjoyed at Sam Snead's Tavern. Be sure to top your meal with one of Sam's homemade desserts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by My husband ordered shrimp and wasn't told he would have to peel and devein himself. This is not what we are used to. The server was good about my husband exchanging for another dish. Apr 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by good food, good wine, great waiter! Apr 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by My husband actually could've had a bigger portion of the grouper. It was very good but not enough for a man to eat but very delicious Apr 11, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by My filet was cooked MW instead of MR so I sent it back. Then the cook sent out a sirloin steak and told me it was a filet. The manager came out & looked at it and agreed that it didn't look like a filet. I couldn't believe it! I didn't have to pay for the steak but how dare the cook send out something else and say it was a filet!! Apr 8, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by The server was a bit slow in getting my order The first two people in my party, arrived before me and had already ordered. I had to actually go down to the end of the bar to get her, as she was busy talking. Apr 5, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst dining experience we've had in years! Arrived for lunch on Saturday. The place was empty; we were the only customers. There was a hostess, a bartender/waiter and (we presume) a cook. Although polite, the staff seemed bored and unenthusiastic. I ordered lemon pepper chicken wings and the bartender/waiter winced. When I asked why, he said they ran out of wings and wasn't sure if they got more in yet or not. My husband ordered the grouper sandwich. The food arrived with no presentation; looked like they literally just threw it on the plates. We had to ask for tableware and napkins. We had to ask for the blue cheese and celery that was supposed to come with the wings. They gave us blue cheese but no celery. Worst wings ever!!! Greasy, fried wings sprinkled with pepper; but there was no lemon. The grouper was overcooked and burned on the outside. The bartender/waiter asked us how the food was, we nicely expressed our disappointment; he shrugged and walked away. Food and service attitude was horrible. Sam Snead would be embarrassed to have his name on this restaurant. We would never dine there again and would definitely not recommend it to anyone!!! Apr 5, 2015
