The restaurant was out dated. It looks like the same decor equipment booths utensils from the last tenants twenty years ago.

This experience was good. The only complaint I had was the waiter forgot our salad so it came after the entree was delivered.

Overall it was okay. There only 1 thing I say could've been better....I ordered the Breakfast Skillet with country fried "Steak" or atleast it supposed to be it was the cheapest quality hamburger battered and keep fried (I don't recommend it) and our waitress did did fix the check accordingly. The rest of our food was good and hot. Yes I would visit again.

Ms. Shirley began her 40 year career in the restaurant/hospitality business in this very location in 1967. Her daughter, Karen, joined her in 1991. Mother and daughter worked side by side for many years.
When the former restaurant chain decided not to renew their lease on this facility in April 2006, Karen assumed responsibility as the new owner and manager. Karen named the restaurant Shirley's Family Diner in honor of her mother, who unfortunately passed away from cancer in 2005.
However, the strong family tradition continues in all aspects of the restaurant -- personnel, the family-friendly menu, and of course, the customers. Karen's son and husband assist in cooking and (literally!) whatever needs to be done. Every single one of the chain employees chose to stay with Karen, despite being offered other opportunities within the chain. We truly are a family here at Shirley's Family Diner, and hope you will enjoy your dining experience--be it breakfast, lunch or dinner served all day.
