First time here & it worked for us. You order your food at the bar, & if the bartender has time he or she will bring it to the table. The food was hot, plentiful & tasty. The bartender on 5/1 was personable, helpful with a great attitude. Definitely returning. While there we noticed that they have entertainment several nights a week along with a huge TV for sports fans. Only down side for us were the smokers. Although they were on the back patio the smoke did affect our enjoyment and we had to move tables.

I've always liked the atmosphere at St. James - the outdoor patio dining is found far and few between on the Peninsula. Great restaurant for early dinner dining with kids yet it turns into a fun bar at night. Service was a bit slow this last time we visited - seemed a little under-staffed that night. However, I will always come back. A few years ago I helped throw a casual large going-away party for a co-worker at St James. I called ahead of time and they were very accomodating. They ensured they had tables outside for us and had extra staff ready for the night. It was the perfect place for this type of party. Everyone had a great time.

loved the Chicken Salad and the calamari appetizer and chicken sandwich, were delicious.

the pub is just that 'a pub'. after waiting a good 15 min, i realized i had to order our food at the bar. i also had to wipe down/clean our table myself. i'd go back for drinks & to listen to music, but not to eat.
