Had to constantly go looking for our waiter. Found out he was doing room service deliveries between serving us courses.

Overcooked scrambled eggs....just ordinary breakfast fare.

Short staffed during our visit. Our waiter "Jen" was working so hard it was uncomfortable to watch. Made our party feel uneasy.

Service was slow, and it wasn't busy. The fried grouper had not seasonings just breading. We were told that the slow service was that several servers called out. The menu was very limited. The Chicken was fair when it came to flavor.

Food was not up to standard...apetizer and meals were brought.at the same timr. Chicken undercooked. Needs better presentation.

The food was very tasty, well priced and hot. The bar simply do not know mixed drinks well (a symbol of many American bar servers who understand beers before spirits). This is a good place for a quiet dinner but i would also add it would only be if the hotel was not too busy. Ours was quiet but there were four TV's at the bar but they were on with little or no volume.

Restaurant located inside the hotel. No clear signage to guide you to the resturant upon entering.

We were terribly disappointed in the food. Steaks were not cooked as we requested….. one was actually cold inside and had to be returned. Nothing was warm, everything was cool when it was served.
When we requested a child’s menu, the waitress told us she could not FIND a child’s menu. She never bought bread to the table until we asked for it. My granddaughter’s pasta was actually cold with a little tasteless red sauce sprinkled over the top. It was terrible. She could not eat it. No one in our party was happy with the food. The only thing that was good was the broccoli. Even the cupcake dessert was frozen when it was served.
It's a real shame to have such a beautiful setting and serve such terrible food.

We ordered an appetizer, a salad and two entries. Everything we ordered, the appetizer, the salad, and the main entries, came to the table all at the same time. We are used to having the appetizer first, the salad and then the entries.

All the noise was from restaurant employees. Loud talking to each other. Could be a very nice restaurant if service was better. Food excellent.

Atmosphere was neat. Service was fair. The quality of the food was disappointing.

Salmon had a fishy smell and tasted bad. No sauce to accompany entree.
Husbands shrimp BarBQ was heavy smoked sauce over jbo shrimp atop. Cheese Grits. He scrape off most of the sauce. Would only go back for the sandwich or lunch menu.

The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. We had to ask for bread and butter and waited a LONG time to be served. We had 6 year old twins with us so eating in a reasonable time frame would have helped. After waiting for the food, the server NEVER came back again until we paid the check. The grilled chicken breast and the prime rib sandwich were both too well done. My skirt steak was good but the broccolini was cold. Has she come back immediately to check on us, we would have sent the meals back. BUT.... we didn't want to wait for the meals to be re-done. VERY disappointing meal for sure and I am so ticked that I suggested it!!!

Our server as well as the restaurant manager were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and pricing reasonable. We were staying overnight in Tampa prior to a cruise. We would definitely recommend St. James to our friends.
