Highlights

Brothers Sahagun, the owners of Tacos Guaymas, have proven to know a lot more than just tacos. The food undoubtedly will deliver all the excitement you need. Soft tacos made with grilled corn tortillas come with a choice of filling -- from chicken, chorizo or barbecue pork to tripe. Burritos are wrapped in flour tortillas and can be had "wet" (smothered in a vibrant sauce). Prawns in their shells are sauteed in butter and garlic or cloaked in a chili sauce. We like some of the newer plates, too, especially chicken in a spicy pipian sauce thickened with ground green pumpkin and sesame seeds. On weekends, there's menudo (the famous tripe and hominy soup long touted as a hangover cure) that's recommended for those who have overindulged on great margaritas the night before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Waiter was very upbeat, which made the experience happy. Food was also very good. Jan 7, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by First of all, pretty good salsa. Two things that made the experience less enjoyable: one, the person who took my order to-go needs to be more knowledgeable about menu items - she couldn't tell me the difference between the 2 vegetarian burritos; two, I was asked if I wanted guacamole & sour cream for my burrito but not cheese? So I assumed that cheese came with it and was quite disappointed that it didn't. Jan 4, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was good, though the enchiladas were a little dry. One in our party had the fish soup, which he enjoyed, though the broth was fairly spicy. Nov 4, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by No impressed with the quality of the food. Subpar. Even the salsa with with Chips and Salsa was not fairly marginal. Sep 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by It was okay. Not the best service - waters weren't refilled (hot day), chips were empty, etc. Sep 8, 2014
