Restaurateur Johnny Tarantino spent over four years meticulously searching for the perfect chef to head up the team at his restaurant. Tarantino's, the owner's innovative and cosmopolitan concept, was up and running but missing the creative culinary spark that separates the extraordinary dining experience from that of the every day. Chef Marcelo Mendonca was ready to accept the new challenge and joined the restaurant's team ready to impose his cultivated and perfected craft. Tarantino's has never been the same. The restaurant was virtually transformed over night complete with a new menu showcasing regional and modern adaptations to traditional Italian favorites. Tarantino's provides an elegant and comfortable ambiance that is perfect for any special occasion or gathering with friends. The soft lighting reaches to all corners of the dining space but not too much as to take away from the dainty, classy, candles that light each individual table. The menu is vast and inventive featuring Fresh Seafood, Duck, Veal, Pork, and signature Homemade pastas. Notable selections include the Beef Carpaccio Appetizer, Pasta Farfalle with smoked chicken, tomatoes, and spinach sauteed in garlic and olive oil, The Drunken Pork Chop with cabbage, pancetta, garlic whipped potatoes and grape chutney, and the Seared Duck Breast with roasted butternut squash, duck confit and lentils. Additionally, Tarantino's boasts a friendly and inviting bar where guests are welcome to take advantage of the impressive wine and martini menus. Johnny Tarantino and his professional team look forward to serving you soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oyster appetizer is awesome. I had Cowboy Steak and the wife had tilapia- both excellent. It was our 45th Wedding Anniverary and as always, everything was perfect. Sep 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice both in and out.. I am first generation Italian, still visit my family every year in Italy, I am very picky with my Italian food at restaurants. The food was excellently prepared....the right amount of spice, garlic, oil etc). We had the polenta with sausage appetizer and the Italian sausage was delicious, as was the sauce. We also had the Black Pasta with mussels and shrimp. The pasta was homemade and exquisite. The service was also top notch. We happened to have a $10 gift certificate which didn't come off the bill. However they were pretty busy so we decided to not mention it and just paid the bill and left. Well during the course of our meal, we had mentioned to our waitress that we were going across the street for a party. She actually came there after her shift, apologized for the gift certificate not being taken off the bill and gave us a $25 gift certificate to come back! That is going above and beyond. We will definitely be goin back, and highly recommend you try this place for yourself! May 3, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by great service and the food was delicious Feb 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The food was delicious. The pork chop with the grape chutney was just great. The grapes had a really unique flavor which I couldn't tell if it was natural or if they were wine-infused somehow. The pink cauliflower soup (special) was very good, as was everything that everyone else ordered (butternut squash ravioli, eggplant parmesan, and farfalle with chicken pasta) Feb 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This restaurant was amazing. The food was fabulous as well as the service. Super cute place. I have to say out of all the certificates I have used, this one has been the best. Will visit again when traveling back to Chicago. Feb 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by I'd like a more expansive menu. Maybe a good roast chicken? Feb 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by They were able to accommodate with certain plates that were not on the menu. Thus making us very happy. Jan 26, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by We live nearby and it is a very welcoming environment. Jan 8, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by The atmosphere in this restaurant is beautiful. The food was good as well. However, the service was just aweful. For the price point of the restaurant I would not anticipate sitting there distracted from enjoying a nice dinner with my husband because I still haven't received my drink or the waitress didn't show any sense of remorse about not coming by for the first time for the better part of 15 minutes or returning to our table after that in a timely manner what so ever. Very disappointing. Nov 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by very pricey for what you get, however....$23 for a piece of salmon. I could have bought five servings at Costco for same amount! Jul 31, 2014
