The Mission Mexican Restaurant & Cantina
Restaurant was quiet, and probably a good thing since the waiter was also the bartender. He was super friendly and personable though, and made up for the slightly slowish service. Food was delish too, although the carne asada was cut so small it was nearly ground beef.

The staff was friendly, we a were seated right away and the food was out within 10 minutes!

Portions were small. Service lacked a friendliness. Both the food and the service were much different than the dozens of times we've eaten at The Mission over the years.

Service was fair at best. I had the carne asada and it was the worst I ever had. I almost always eat my entire meal or get a box for anything I don't finish. This time I ate about half and passed on the take out box. Sat by a window. It was cold and the window sill was dirty. My date had ate at the restaurant many times in the past and recommended it. She was embarassed and said that she had heard that the restaurant recently changed hands. likely the cause for the change in food quality and service.

Table was not cleaned well from previous diners--rice, small amounts of salsa, and drops of water still on the table.

The staff was really friendly and let us stay a little after closing to finish our drinks. Food isn't gourmet, but the atmosphere and staff make it a nice place to eat. Good prices, too.

I normally really enjoy the Mission. Today, it seemed that the server and the cook were new. Our beans were slightly burnt. I got flour tortillas instead of the corn I had ordered and I got green bell peppers instead of the mushrooms the order was suppose to have. When the owner arrived things seemed to go mire smoothly. It wasn't busy but he is always wonderful.
