The Oak Grill at Macy's
The Oak Grill is about elegance and always was. The service was great, the popovers wonderful, but I ordered the quiche, as I almost always do, and was very disappointed. Scrambled eggs baked in phyllo dough is not quiche. Little seasoning and bits of ham too small to taste. I'll go back but won't ever order "quiche" again.

I feel very relaxed at the Oak Grill. I enjoy the food and the ambience.

The food was excellent - service started out excellent but then they got very busy as the lunch hour went on and the server was waiting on so many tables it took a while to get our bill and I didn't get a refill on my soda - that I wanted before we left.

The atmosphere was great, the food was great, and the prices are pretty reasonable-especially for such top-notch dining experience. There was a young family next to us, and it even had appeal for each of them.

It's good to have an attentive server but hovering and interrupting our conversations to ask if everything is good is a bit over the top. Can't beat the lovely room and the historical significance of the Oak Grill. Popovers of course are such a lovely treat. Entrees were only okay.

Our server, Anna, was great however she seemed to have been spread thin. Possibly they were short staffed.

Clubby retro feel with very good service and food. Nice variety of food options. Wonderful coffee.

The carmalized grilled salmon is the best! It was a large portion of fish and mashed potatoes

We have always enjoyed the Oak Grill. The atmosphere is traditional white table cloth, but warm and comfortable. Fresh popovers are served with every meal. The menu is an excellent value at about $10-15. The staff were friendly,but professional.

Service was REALLY slow and my burger was WELL DONE - when I requfested medium.

Fine service. Nice atmosphere in front of fire. Pop-overs the best ever. Good stir-fry.

Our only disappointment with the Oak Grill was the extremely slow service and long wait time (to be seated, to receive service, to receive meals).

They changed their menu and it's not as good. Thank goodness Macy's didn't change the popovers! That would have been tragic! They are the best in the city. I'd put Dayton's popovers up against any in the country and they would hold their own.
Ana and Luz were wonderful! They truly made the experience even better!

When the server heard that we had not received our popovers, she served what she had but then came out with all freshly baked popovers and insisted that even if we could not eat them now, we should take them home. It was so wonderful!

I worked in downtown Minneapolis and would frequent Dayton's (Macy's) on a weekly basis. After retirement I continued to go downtown for their flower show with all my family. The quality of their food continues to be excellent.

it was very busy because of the flower show so we had to wait a while to be seated. otherwise everything was fine
