I love the food and the atmosphere. We had a HORRIBLE server! She was rude, did not fill drinks, and plain ignored us when she walked by. 5/14/2013 2:15:58 PM
Good food, attentive waitress, rocking Irish band, good selection of beers. 5/12/2013 10:13:28 PM
Omelet was a little under cooked. Coffee grounds in offer cup. 5/12/2013 4:21:08 PM
Good food and service 5/11/2013 10:09:56 PM
We were blown away with how good the food was. 5/9/2013 8:02:48 PM
Fairly small portion for the price of my fish and chips. 5/7/2013 2:08:10 PM
The atmosphere was charming pub, nice location downtown. Simple, fresh, well prepared Irish Pub food is always a comfort, this did not disappoint. Service was efficient and friendly without hovering, a perfect touch for a casual Friday dinner. 5/3/2013 10:18:57 PM
Food was great, so was the atmosphere and music. 5/1/2013 10:07:57 PM
The food was very good, but the service was slow. The server also did not correctly process the restaurant.com certificate. He charged the entire check to the card, and we had to find him to correct the problem. It became quite complicated, and was slightly embarrassing as we were at a table with friends and it became such an issue. 4/30/2013 10:11:32 PM
Server was very absent, and we were the only table. 4/30/2013 12:03:41 AM

The air conditioning was very cold, I was chilled. 4/19/2013 12:02:12 AM
First visit was so good we went back 2 days later. Four of us got our food leaving one out. Hers was 5 minutes later. Asked waitress who sent manager over. Manager said it was her call/fault. Said "Can I get you a drink?", then charged $9.50 for it secretly!!! 4/10/2013 10:12:37 AM
The food was so great! Hubby had fish and chips and I had a burger. Delicious! We got the brownie dessert and it was ok, but the brownie was way overcooked...never had a crunchy brownie before. 4/8/2013 10:15:33 PM
Love it here! Great atmosphere and awesome food! 4/6/2013 10:45:01 PM
The atmosphere was wonderful, the service staff were very attentive (my glass never got empty), and the food was incredible. To top it off, there was great entertainment. Can you really ask for more? 4/6/2013 8:36:48 PM

Highlights

Weve been pulling pints & entertaining folks since 1997 when we opened as the first Irish pub in downtown Raleigh. As in Ireland, music is an important part of our atmosphere. We have hosted several national and international legends such as The Dublin City Ramblers, Albannach, Seven Nations, Battlefield Band, Old Blind Dogs, Teada, Grada. The Prodigals, and many more. We offer traditional Irish music every Friday night at 7pm and Irish jam sessions every Sunday. Each month we also host Irish dancing from local Irish dance schools. The heart beat of any Irish home centers around the kitchen. Coming from a strong fine dining background, our executive chef Aaron Vaughen adds a modern twist to traditional Irish dishes. Using produce from local farmers markets and bread from local bakeries, we work hard to ensure that your meals are always fresh and flavorful. At Tir Na nOg we believe in keeping the traditions of Ireland alive in all we do from the music, to the menu, to the very saving of the earth we love. Ireland, for all she offers, is most noted for her 40 shades of green and Tir na nOg we strive to embody the green philosophy. We take pride in the fact that we compost food waste, shop at local food markets, and use energy and water efficient machines.
