I have purchased many certificates from them and my experiences have been good. Customer service has handled issues quickly and to my satisfaction. I intend to keep using their services.
I have purchased several gift certificates on restaurant.com and given many as gifts. I have not heard any complaints from anyone I've given the gift to. If you understand the terms of the certificate before paying there shouldn't be issues. And be sure to point out the terms if you give a certificate as a gift to someone.
The money my family has saved over the years eating out is in the thousands! Plus when we go out to dinner with other people and we have a certificate, we share the discount and we all get to enjoy the $50.00 taken off the bill, so win win! I have encountered a few places that have restrictions like "only valid Sun-Thurs", so I just don't buy those unless I know I will be eating out mid week. You do need to READ the details. All in all, I give it 5 stars.
I travel... way too often in my opinion. This is just how my job works out. I can deal with McDonalds every so often, but it gets old after a while. restaurant.com gives me all of the great local restaurants that I could want with a simple search. I've even been able to buy a few last minute gifts at the site, so I'm loving it.
