Brighteye & Shilling is named after my mother and father. My mother was known as "Brighteye" for her beautiful eyes. My father's nickname was "Shilling" because his sister would often give him a quarter, which in my country, we call shillings. I started this company as a catering business out of my home, and am now looking to expand and open a sit-down restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. Cooking has been my passion since I was 13 and I have experience as a pastry chef at several local eateries. I am committed to serving quality Caribbean-American meals to my customers, and making sure they always have a memorable experience that truly reminds them of home-cooked food.
