Rated 1 out of 5 by David D from I had really been looking forward to visiting the Latin Café based on a friend's recommendation. . . however, the service was extraordinarily poor and the food mediocre. We sat down and ordered two beers, two salads, a shared order of ceviche, and a shared order of plantations, to be followed by two shrimp steak and chicken fajitas. The server had severe limitations with English but we were able to communicate or order. The problem seem to be getting things out to us and its quality. We received two glasses of water and then after quite a long wait we asked about the "dos cervesas" - which the server then said that she had forgotten. These were eventually brought out, followed by the fajitas! The shrimp were cocktail shrimp about the size of your thumbnail, with hard rubbery chicken and very chewy rubbery steak with no seasoning on it whatsoever. Extraordinarily unappetizing. Had to do the best we could with salsa. When we asked about the salad and other appetizers see just sort of mumbled and went back to the kitchen – and towards the end of the time when we were eating our fajitas than a cavalcade of plates came out in which we received our two side salads, followed by the ceviche. The grand finale of the plantains then arrived. This was actually the best part of the meal. Respectfully, I want my money back from restaurant.com for the other two certificates that I bought to this establishment – I'm not going back!
