22nd Street is a coffee shop destination experience in Historic Ybor City. Travel with us for unique flavors to savor and enjoy. 22nd Street celebrates our heritage in Historic Ybor, the birthplace of the US cigar industry. Great coffee is loved by Tampa natives, largely due to the influence of Cuban, Spanish and Italian cigar immigrants in the early 20th century. During the era of cigar factories in Ybor City, workers would sip coffee at their rolling tables as the newspaper was read to them by “el Lector”. Our Grandparents rolled cigars in factories and we grew up hearing stories about how coffee helped them enjoy their work and kept them energized throughout the day.
