Family-owned and run Maloya is the first restaurant to serve traditional cuisine from the French island of Réunion in NYC. Owner Samuel Lebreton is representing his family heritage, with partner Tara Gruszkiewicz in the kitchen. The créole cuisine of this island in the Indian Ocean is a rustic blend of French, African, and Asian culinary traditions. The menu represents traditional dishes from the island, along with chef-driven dishes that highlight the most important agriculture of the tropical island.
