Rated 1 out of 5 by from Although the restaurant was busy due to Father's Day and the bulk of the brunch rush was beginning to leave, no one greeted us or even glanced our way when we arrived. Taking the cue to seat ourselves, we did and the waitress took our drink orders, then food order within 5 minutes. She was very pleasant; however , we were there over an hour waiting for the eggs and toast we ordered, during which time a few other parties arrived. When the waitress next checked in she brought waters instead of refilling the drinks we ordered. When we pointed out that the several other parties that came in after us already had their food for quite some time, she apologized and told us the cook was JUST starting our meal. We then asked for the check for the drinks e had received, planning on leaving, and the waitress apologized and said she would be right back. After she went to the counter, both the other waitstaff and the cook began to stare over at our table repeatedly, then one waitress (not ours) went over to another table of what appeared to be regular patrons, and began to talk loudly about us. Those diners then began to stare and state loudly that they had to wait as well, as if our complaint was unjustified. Our waitress came back over and apologized again, but mentioned our food was suddenly all done, and asked if we still wanted to cancel our order. Since we had 3 children in our party, and had now waited well over an hour for a simple order, we agreed for her just to bring the food. The other patrons that had arrived approx. 30 minutes after we did, that had received their meals quickly, paid and left, including the customers the other waitress was talking to. Those customers then shouted across the restaurant to the chef that the food was great and they'd see him later, while the other 2 waitresses there stared down my family with expressions that could only be taken as annoyance with our having wanted to leave earlier. When our food arrived, our eggs were over cooked and the children's pancakes were slightly raw in the middle. The side order of home fries with one meal consisted of approx. 5 one inch cubes of potato and looked as if I got "whatever was left". At this point, we all agreed to eat our food quickly and just leave as soon as we could, since the cook and other waitresses were continuing to glare at us from the kitchen while cleaning up for the end of shift. The overall feeling that we were unwelcome outsiders seemed to be intentional. While our waitress was extremely nice and apologized, we had to repeatedly ask for refills of the drinks we ordered when she kept offering only water, felt completely uncomfortable after expressing our desire to leave due to the hour plus wait for a meal that should've taken no more than 20 minutes (eggs, toast, pancakes), and were completely disappointed in the food, which was either overcooked, undercooked, had shells in it, or was just missing. Not once did anyone offer to take something off of our check nor did a manager come over to apologize. Regardless of the deals that become available on Restaurant.com for the Rock On Diner, we will not be returning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Upon entering, there was no indication if it was self seating, or hostess seating. We were a group of 5, and the seating area is all set as tables for 4. After going I acknowledged by the staff for a few minutes we eventually pushed tables together ourselves and sat. There were two other tables seated when we entered, yet it seemed like they were too busy to assist.Eventually a waitress came and took drink orders. 4 out of 5 requested coffee, and the coffee came, but no silverware. It was requested and we placed our food orders.10 minutes later, still no silverware. We'd all shared a spoon for stirring cream and sugar, and when the waitress came back to ask if we wanted refills, we asked again for the silverware. She returned a few minutes later to let us know that the coffee was out, but it was brewing. That was ok, because we still didn't have the spoons to stir in cream.Silverware final came, coffees were refilled, and we were told the kitchen was running behind because of 'the Rush'. This 'Rush' consisted of two other parties coming in - one couple and a family of six. It should also be noted that the family of six ordered their meals for take out. They came in about 10 minutes after my group, ordered, and were brought their meals to go before a single meal was served to my table.About 35 minutes after we'd arrived, the food started to come out. 2 of us received our meals - mine was like warm, with cold toast slathered with butter that was not melting any time soon. A few minutes later, 2 more meals arrived. We were patiently waiting for the last meal to arrive so we could begin (an egg sandwich for my wife), but it didn't come. After a few minutes we asked 'did you forget the egg sandwich?' And were told it was coming right up. In total, it took about 10 minutes for all meals to get to our table. By then all but the last were cold. The food itself was mediocre and Luke warm. The atmosphere of the diner (rock and roll theme) was interesting, but the experience of dining there was so unfavorable that it should be called the 'bad karaoke' diner.
